Sub-Tier Supplier Resilience Mapping
Primes know their tier-one suppliers and almost nothing below. A single foundry, a single coating shop or a single source of a rare material can stall a programme, and the dependency is only discovered when it fails.
What stands in the way
How Scrydon solves it
How this plays out
Security of supply has become a contractual obligation, not a good intention. Ministries and the European defence programmes ask primes to demonstrate where critical components come from and what happens if a source is lost, and the honest answer is often that nobody has looked below tier one.
The platform builds a knowledge graph from the data a prime already has, the bill of materials, purchase history, supplier questionnaires and qualification records, and enriches it with company registers and open-source signals. Entity resolution links the same foundry appearing under three names, and graph analytics surface the parts that depend on one site, one jurisdiction or one owner. The map is kept current as orders and declarations flow, so the answer is always the current one.
Bills of material and supplier lists are commercially sensitive and often classified. The graph is built and queried on the prime's own infrastructure, and shared with the customer as an assessment, not as raw data.
- A living map of the programme's real supply base, with concentration and jurisdiction risks ranked, and a defensible answer when the ministry asks about security of supply.
